Yesterday I shared a quick picture in the Prophetic Arts For Jesus group on facebook and asked the question,”Anyone else use acrylic inks or sprays in your artwork? 🙂 ” I love how vibrant they are and enjoy their permanent quality which allows for great layering without everything going muddy. Great for so many art applications! There were several people who were chatting about it so I figured it would be great to do a quick video sharing what I know about making sprays out of acrylic inks and how to do it easily!

I hope you find my quick and easy tutorial on how to make acrylic ink sprays helpful! Enjoy and I’ll look forward to chatting with you about this below in the comments of this post!

What is your favorite way to make acrylic ink sprays? Have you found any clever ways to add shimmer to your sprays without clogging your bottle nozzle? Any other clever ideas or questions please share below! 🙂

TINY UPDATE 1 (Nov. 20, 2014) – A group member from the Prophetic Arts For Jesus group on facebook mentioned she likes to make little balls from pottery which she adds 3-4 of, to each bottle to avoid trouble with shaking before use with any settling that has occurred. I’ve been fine up until now but I figure it can’t hurt so I just added 3 beads to each bottle, from my old jewelry business which are a tiny larger than the straw hole. Works great so far! Thanks Alice Briggs!

TINY UPDATE 2 (Nov. 20, 2014) – If you’re in the USA… I’ve spoken with the manufacturer of the, ‘That Special Touch 6×6 Mica Mask’ which I used in this video. They do an impressive range of very cost effective and beautiful masks, (which are the reverse of stencils). I have more of their brand than any other I think! I love them! They have suggested if you want to purchase from the United States, you can look through their product to see what you like and then email [email protected] and she’ll be happy to place your order and ship it to you via regular royal mail post which would make it very reasonable.
